As I noted last week, I gave three presentations at the 2009 Canadian Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences. As promised, I have uploaded the presentation slides for these (in .pdf format) so that those who are interested may have a closer look:
- Academic Blogs: Connecting People and Ideas (from the Congress Career Corner panel on academic blogging)
- “We Want to Graduate!”: Students’ Perspectives on What They Need to Succeed (presented with my colleague Dr. Morgan Gardner at the Canadian Society for the Study of Education annual conference)
- Non-Formal Adult Learning Programs at Canadian Post-Secondary Institutions: Trends, Issues and Practices (presented with my colleague Dr. Vernon Curran at the Canadian Society for the Study of Higher Education annual conference)

Thank you for sharing your slides; unfortunately I didn't learn about this panel until I'd already booked my ticket home from ACCUTE, or I would have been an interested attendee. I convened a modest lunch-hour session on academic blogging as part of the ACCUTE program. We discussed particularly the topics you mention under "Academic Applications."
